Join The 152 Club and Keep Elbert County Beautiful

If everyone makes a small effort we can work together to clean up Elbert County

Keep Elbert County Beautiful (KECB) invites you to join the 152 Club! It's free, it's easy, and it helps our local environment stay beautiful for years to come.

To participate, simply look for litter and garbage as you go about your day. When you notice trash, pick it up and dispose of it properly!

  • What: To join the club, set a goal to collect 152 pieces of trash, fill a garbage bag, and send a photo to KECB.
  • Who: All Ages, you're never too old or to young to help.
  • How: Send a picture of you, your child, or a family member with their 13-gallon size kitchen garbage bag full of collected litter to kecbeautiful@gmail.com or mail to KECB, 1008 Ruckersville Road, Elberton, GA 30635. Include your name and address so they can send you a 152 Club Membership and you will enter a drawing for door prizes. You may send one photo for each bag of garbage that you collect to get multiple entries into the prize drawing.
  • Why: In a recent 10-year study on litter, KECB concluded that our county's litter problem would be significantly reduced if each resident picked up 152 pieces of litter. Hence, the 152 Club was created. This service project is a great chance to become aware of the litter in our community, set a personal goal, and contribute to the cleaning effort.

As a community, when we start to pay attention to litter in our environment and take responsibility to clean up after our neighbors and ourselves, it goes a long way to prevent litter from happening in the first place. I hope that you can participate in this volunteer opportunity and take advantage of this fun project.

Together, we can teach our children the importance of recycling, litter, disposal, and how to keep our environment clean. If you have any questions, please email kecbeautiful@gmail.com
