Wishing You Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

A Note From The Publisher:

As the year comes to an end, I usually look back at the year and make plans for things to come. Every season has its main event, fun activities, and annual traditions to share with our family. It can be a very busy time (sometimes too busy) and I hope that you can find joy in the simple things this week.

As you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwanzaa this week, please take a moment to enjoy the special moments we spend with our families each and every day. I think that those memories are more precious than gifts under the tree.

Some of my favorite memories from this year include the Elberton Christmas Parade, Friends Helping Friends Football Fun Day, Summer Reading Program at the Elbert County Public Library, 5k Twilight Stroll by the Granite Bowl, and Journey to Bethlehem at Elberton Christian Church. Year after year, I see more new ideas and creative community programs from the Elbert Theatre, Home Sweet Home, Granite City Impact Center, 2Morrows Creations, Blue Cielo Farms, and the Quarry Plates and Pours. I also love all of the hard work and dedication from ALL of our local businesses, restaurant, local churches and community groups.

One of the reasons why I enjoy managing and updating Macaroni KID Elberton, is to organize and share all of the upcoming events for kids and parents. I am looking forward to a new year full of fresh opportunities and good ideas in 2024. I am highly motivated by the kind words of my readers, and I couldn't do it without the support of our small businesses, Main Street Elberton, the Elbert County Chamber of Commerce, and members of the local community, like you!

There's always something to prepare, plan, things to do, errands to run, and stuff to buy... but this year, I want to live in the moment and enjoy things as they are right now. No need to be discouraged by a to-do list of incomplete tasks for the week... just take things step-by-step and focus on what really matters: love, family, and everyday moments that make life fun.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
